Veriha Trucking, Inc. (“Veriha,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us through our website, www.veriha.com (the “Site”), our driver recruiting and employment communications, our Veriha Driving Academy programs, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you — including choices related to text message (SMS) communications, which are governed by wireless carrier and Application-to-Person (A2P) messaging requirements.
By using the Site or providing information to us — including by submitting an employment application, enrolling in the Veriha Driving Academy, requesting information, or opting in to receive text messages — you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly:
- Contact information, such as your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and zip code
- Employment and Driving Academy application information, such as employment history, driving record, commercial driver’s license (CDL) information, Social Security number, and, where required by U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, drug and alcohol testing results and medical certification information
- Communications you send to us, including inquiries submitted through website forms, email, or text message
Information Collected Automatically:
- IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited on the Site
- Information collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)
Information from Third Parties:
- Information from job boards, background check providers, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and other publicly available or third-party sources used in connection with driver recruiting and safety compliance
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our Services
- Process and evaluate Driving Academy and employment applications
- Communicate with you about job opportunities, academy enrollment, and customer service inquiries
- Send text messages, emails, and other communications you have opted in to receive
- Comply with federal and state trucking safety and employment regulations
- Protect the security and integrity of the Site
- Market our services to you, where you have not opted out
4. Text Message (SMS) Communications
If you provide your mobile phone number to Veriha and opt in to receive text messages — whether through a website form, a paper application, or a verbal request — you may receive text messages in the following categories:
- Recruiting and Employment Communications: including messages about job openings, application status, interview scheduling, and Driving Academy enrollment
- Customer Care and Support: including messages responding to inquiries you submit to us
Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with us. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one final confirmation message, and you will receive no further messages from that program unless you opt in again. For help at any time, reply “HELP” to any message or call us at (715) 732-4431.
Carriers, including the mobile network operators and messaging platform providers (such as Twilio) used to deliver our messages, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We may share this information only with service providers who help us deliver text messages (such as our SMS messaging platform provider and mobile carriers), solely for that purpose. All other categories of sharing described in this Privacy Policy exclude text message originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, regardless of any other provision in this Privacy Policy.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of employment, Driving Academy enrollment, or the purchase of any service from Veriha.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site, including for analytics and advertising purposes. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
6. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, analytics, recruiting platforms (including Tenstreet), and SMS messaging platforms
- Government agencies and regulators, as required by law or DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Professional advisors, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets
- Law enforcement or other parties, when required to comply with legal process or to protect our rights, property, or safety
We do not sell your personal information. As described in Section 4, we do not share SMS opt-in consent or the phone numbers you provide for texting purposes with third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Email marketing: you may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in any email
- Text messages: reply “STOP” as described in Section 4
- Cookies: you may adjust your browser settings to limit or refuse cookies
- California residents: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your information, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Veriha does not sell personal information)
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including SSL encryption, to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Rentenion
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations (including DOT recordkeeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Consistent with wireless carrier requirements, we retain records of individuals who have opted out of text messages (our suppression list) indefinitely so that we can continue to honor those opt-out requests.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Third-Party Links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, and government websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
