Refresher Certification & Beyond
We recognize that every student is different with their past skills. This program is tailored to you and based on your skills from when you were behind the wheel before.
During your first week in Marinette, we complete an assessment of your skills and ensure you have the skills needed to join our student program. We are evaluating your:
* Pre-trip knowledge
* Backing (Straight line, Offset, Alley Dock, and Reverse Offset)
* Driving Skills
We are getting your skills refreshed with hands-on training, classroom, and utilizing our driving simulator. The cost associated with our refresher program is $1,550.00 for the 1-week, 40-hour course.
Additional days – $325.00 per day
During your Refresher Certification, you will be a Veriha Driving Academy Student and not a Veriha employee.
If you wish to join Veriha afterward, you will start with our student program. Training will be based on the skill set you demonstrated during your refresher certification. On average, training will be four weeks as a mixture of range and being with an in-cab trainer out on the road.
During this training, you will be a Veriha employee and will be paid! Training pay ranges from $600 to $750/weekly.
- You will return to Marinette, WI to get your solo truck!
- Ongoing: Drivers will receive monthly learning modules for development of safety and efficiency.
- 12 Months: Drivers have the option to attend our Train the Trainer course if interested in coaching new drivers.

Admission Requirements
- Complete a full application
- Have your Class A CDL
- Complete a DOT physical examination & obtain a 1 year card
- Complete a 3-minute video interview
- Pass MVR requirements
- Complete a phone interview
- Pass a DOT drug/alcohol test
- Pass a functional capacity test
- Pass a hair folicle drug test that looks back 9 months
- Pass Clearinghouse & background screenings
Added Perks!
Performance Based Pay
- Receive two pay reviews in your first year – one at 90 days, and one at 6 months!
- Pay review will be based on safety, maintenance, and operational performance.
- Weekly Minimum Pay: Starts at $900, then increases as your earnings increase!
Comfort While Training
Be comfortable while you are in Marinette for your initial training. We have partnered with a local hotel built in 2020.
- Kitchenets: Cooktops, cookware, and fridges are available.
- Onsite laundry: At no additional cost!
- Double Occupancy: Provided for collaboration & teamwork.
