Wade Bumgarner
2019
Wade Bumgarner was honored in 2019 as being part of the Top 3 finalists.
Wade Bumgarner was born and raised in a military family. His father was in the Air Force for 23 years and then US Customs for another 13. He served as a Titan missile mechanic and an air traffic controller during the Vietnam War and also served during the Korean War. Wade joined the U.S. Navy in 1976 and has been actively involved in helping transitioning Veterans for many years, volunteering his time, resources and expertise to local Veteran groups and the DWD by assisting Vets with job search skills, resume writing (converting military speak to mfg. speak) and job search strategies.
Kelley Ward
2018
Kelley was honored in 2018 as being part of the Top 10 finalists for the Transition Trucking: Driving For Excellence Award.
Kelley joined the Navy in 1994 and was stationed aboard the USS Rushmore LSD-47. “A young boy stepped upon that ship but a man walked away on the last day finally a leader of men filled with pride of service, country, and with an honorable discharge,” stated Ward.
In 1999 he and his wife moved to the Midwest to start a life in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Kelley joined Veriha’s Driving Academy in April 2017 and joined Veriha as a solo driver in May 2017. “Trucking was a career that I chose as a veteran not because of my own desires or skills but instead because of my company I chose.”

Veriha Driving Academy
The Veriha Driving Academy is a 6-week program that provides everything needed to obtain a Class A – CDL.
This includes an interactive classroom setting, driving range, and behind-the-wheel instruction provided by licensed instructors.
Graduates of the program may have the option to be placed into a Veriha Trucking fleet upon successful completion of the training course.
New Class A CDL Holder
We invest in your success! Recent driving school graduates and drivers with less than 4 months of tractor-trailer driving experience will enter into our 6 to 8 week Driver Finishing Program.
CDL Refresher Course
Our no-cost course is designed to hone critical skills and have drivers feel confident behind the wheel!
This course is designed for Class A – CDL holders who have been out of the truck for an extended period.

- As an Experienced Driver, you can earn up to 0.60 CPM. (Considering MVR, work history, and driving experience)
- 100% No Touch Freight
- Detention pay 1 hour after the scheduled appointment time
- Quarterly Operations & Safety Bonuses
- Regional Drivers are guaranteed 48 hours of home time
- OTR Drivers are guaranteed 72 hours of home time
- Weekly Minimum Pay starting at $900
- Hazmat and Clean DOT Inspection Pay

In 1978 my father, John Veriha, established Veriha Trucking in Porterfield, Wisconsin. He made long haul interstate runs by himself, transporting products to California and back.
