Items to Bring With You

It is CRITICAL that we have your I-9 documents in person. Scanned or photos of documents will not meet requirements. List of acceptable documents can be located HERE.

Ensure you have your medical card, CDL, and, if applicable, your passport and TWIC.

Any food, clothing, or bedding that you will need for your first week.

Luma is a fantastic learning platform where you will get your initial onboarding training and monthly lessons! Luma is based on bite size learning so don’t let the quantity fool you, these are a breeze to get through!

Jason Ducane

Jason’s worn a lot of hats at Veriha—from supporting drivers in our Safety Department to now being one himself. As a VIP Driver and State Examiner, he’s out on the road hauling home-daily routes and entertainment loads, leading by example with professionalism and pride.

He’s also part of a Veriha power duo—his wife Kim leads our Health & Wellness and Recruiting efforts. Off the clock, Jason keeps the rhythm going as a drummer in a local band. Whether he’s behind the wheel or behind the drum kit, Jason brings skill, passion, and a great beat to everything he does.

Amy Harris

If you’ve already crossed paths with Amy during your pre-employment testing, you know she’s all about keeping you on track—and always with a smile. With 6 years at Veriha, Amy is your go-to for making sure everything runs smoothly as you step into orientation. She’s known for her driver-first focus, helpful reminders, and her knack for making new drivers feel right at home.

Off the clock, Amy’s just as active. She’s a proud mom of four, grandma to one, and happiest when she’s outside—running, biking, or simply soaking up the fresh air. She’s the kind of person who’ll cheer you on from start to finish—and maybe even race you to the finish line.

Matt King

Matt started his journey right here at Veriha—earning his CDL, running regional routes, and later transitioning into a home-daily role. Now, he’s part of the Safety & Development team, using his firsthand experience to support and guide new drivers as they hit the road.

When he’s not helping drivers stay safe, Matt’s unleashing his creativity. He’s a longtime husband and dog dad who writes novels, designs games, and even composes music. Whether it’s on the page or in the driver’s seat, Matt is all about thoughtful storytelling—and helping others find their own successful path.

Nickolos “Nick” Seaberg

Nick joined the Veriha team back in 2014 and has worn many hats since—starting out as a driver, then gaining experience in safety and providing support during overnight shifts before stepping into his current role as Fleet Leader. His well-rounded background gives him a strong understanding of what drivers need to succeed on the road.

Having lived the day-to-day life of a driver himself, Nick brings a steady, informed, and empathetic approach to leadership. Whether you’re tackling your first week or your hundredth load, Nick’s here to help you keep moving forward.

Thomas “Tom” Bohaczek

Since joining Veriha in 2015, Tom has been a consistent presence on the Fleet Leader team—helping drivers navigate challenges, stay on track, and reach their goals. With nearly a decade of experience supporting our fleet, Tom’s calm, reliable approach makes him a trusted resource for drivers at every stage.

Working remotely from lower Michigan, Tom brings a unique blend of industry knowledge and country calm—thanks in part to the goats he shares his property with. Whether you’re calling in with a quick update or needing a little extra support, Tom’s got your back (and probably a goat story or two).

Jayden Atwood

Jayden joined Veriha in March 2023, starting in Operations Support and quickly showing the drive and heart it takes to grow into a leadership role. She’s now on the path to managing a fleet of her own—bringing a calm, approachable style that drivers appreciate from day one.

When she’s off the clock, Jayden keeps things simple and fun. You’ll usually find her surrounded by friends and singing along to her favorite country tunes. Whether she’s solving problems or sharing a laugh, Jayden is all about keeping it real and supporting drivers every step of the way.

Justin Braneky

Justin joined Veriha in 2025, bringing with him a strong foundation in both driving and fleet management. After starting his career behind the wheel, he moved into leadership—managing a region of over 30 trucks before finding his home at Veriha. His firsthand experience as a driver helps him lead with empathy, precision, and purpose.

Now working remotely, Justin is excited to start this new chapter with a team that shares his commitment to compassion and support. He’s here to help drivers succeed, drawing on both miles driven and lessons learned.

Scott Paul

With over a decade at Veriha and a career rooted in leadership, Scott brings unmatched experience and calm confidence to his role as Operations Manager. From his time serving as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps to years spent as a leased operator, trainer, and load planner, Scott knows the transportation industry inside and out.

Since joining Veriha in 2014, Scott has been a trusted force in keeping operations running smoothly. He’s all about building strong teams, supporting drivers, and making sure the day-to-day gets done right—every single time.

Garot VanderPas

Garot joined Veriha in 2025 as Vice President of Truckload Operations, bringing years of leadership experience across transportation, logistics, and compliance. From leading multi-site operations to driving efficiency and team performance, Garot’s all about building strong systems—and even stronger teams.

Off the clock, Garot’s just as committed. A former college football player and 15-year CrossFit enthusiast, he thrives on discipline, teamwork, and a good challenge. Whether he’s in the weight room or the boardroom, Garot shows up with focus, drive, and a passion for helping others succeed.

Karen Smerchek

Karen leads the charge here at Veriha, bringing heart, vision, and a whole lot of energy to everything she does. As President and Owner, she’s all about empowering her team and making sure Veriha stays focused on what matters most—our people.

When she’s not in the office, Karen’s making waves—literally! She’s a wife to Jason, a proud mom of three, and a member of a water ski team that includes her whole family. In the summer months, you’ll find her balancing on skis just as effortlessly as she balances running the business.

Leigh Olsen

Leigh has been part of the Veriha team for over 37 years (yes, you read that right!) and brings unmatched passion & experience to everything she does. Her focus is always on supporting our drivers and making sure they have what they need to succeed—because to Leigh, drivers come first, always.

Off the clock, she and her husband hit the road on their Harley, especially when the sun’s shining. She’s also a proud dog mom to Cooper and never turns down a good day of fishing. Whether she’s riding, reeling, or running fleet development, Leigh is all heart & horsepower.

Hannah Kuehnl

Hannah is the friendly face behind all things people at Veriha Trucking. With a degree in Sociology from UW–Madison and years of experience in HR, she’s all about creating a positive, supportive vibe for our team, especially for the new folks rolling in (that’s you!).

When she’s not helping our drivers thrive, Hannah’s hanging out with her husband Grant and their two adorable dogs, Millie and Luna. And here’s a fun twist—she also sings in a band! So don’t be surprised if she can help you with both your benefits and your karaoke technique.
